​​​In my two short films My Ex is Bed and What Happened to Grandma Will Happen to You , I explore my upbringing in the countryside. These films juxtapose the life span of a teenager with ageing, highlighting the shift from provincial to urban perspectives and from working-class to academic life, alongside my grandmother’s need for care. 

 

My Ex is Bed also addresses the working-class myth of betterment through education and family value shifts, featuring a conversation with Indian artist Divleena about patriarchal structures. 

​

The title What Happened to Grandma Will Happen to You highlights poor elderly care and the high risks of poverty and femicide for older women. 

 

Both films remain unfinished.
